Philip Scorgie - BIOGRAPHY

Originally from New Zealand, Philip came to Australia in the mid 1970.s and quickly made his mark on the Music Industry in Sydney.
While continually in demand working with top local and overseas artists, Philip studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for five years, furthering his knowledge of Music harmony, Composition and Arranging as well as playing.

He went on to work extensively in Television working on shows such as "MIKE WALSH" Live night time show and "RAY MARTIN SHOW LIVE" which he was with for ten years and also the "ROY & HG" Show ABC TV.
He also worked on many other shows on various channels. Philip has also had an extensive career in recording studios, doing countless sessions on Jingles, TV themes, Albums and film scores, some often as an Arranger and Producer.

In 1988 Philip received the Bicentennial Music Award for the best studio player of the year, for his outstanding contribution to the Music Industry.

His talents took him on further to forming his own 12 Piece Band called "THE RIGHT STUFF" which took him into the corporate arena, not only performing, but organising entertainment and writing shows for large corporate events.(i.e. NCR World Awards night, Darling Harbour 1992)

He is now pursuing his career further in Music Production, composing Songs and Soundtracks for the Corporate market and film, as well as Producing singers and performers in his own professional Recording Studio. i.e: MLC Sailing Ahead Campaign, Auckland Warriors 1995 Rugby league theme song, Soundtrack on Corporate Videos:"Institute of Sport" Canberra and Jamie Carroll Classic Collection Hair Videos (3x)
